She smiled gently, pleased that Ninkasi was being honest with herself. That was a lot better than a lot of people Lottie had run into, and she gave a little nod of approval. Though she didn't think Kasi was deliberately hiding from her own feelings, it was some big stuff, scary stuff, and sometimes it was easier for people to skirt around it than face it head on. Lottie thought that's where they'd started this conversation, and now, look how far they'd come.
"I know," said Friendship. "I do. I was too." She laid her hand on Ninkasi's forearm and gave a small squeeze. "So the next question is... do you think it would be easier if you knew if he loved you back?"
Simple as the words seemed, Philotes knew this question was one of those biggies too. But they were on a roll, so she was trying to gently keep the momentum going. Plus, she had a fairly good idea of how Kratos did feel, so she sort of had a vested interest in how this all went. She adored her nephew.
