“It's fine,” she said gently. “I wouldn't have expected you to betray any confidences or anything anyway if you did know.” Ninkasi gave her a small smile. “That's not fair of me to ask you, I'm sorry.”
She already had one leg pulled up to her chest, tucked comfortably between her upper body and the edge of the table and her heel holding onto the edge of the seat. She leaned forward to take a long drink before pulling the other leg up just as easily, without having to do much shifting at all with her being quite flexible and wrapped her arms around her knees.
Ninkasi's smile faded and she started chewing on the inside of her cheek. She didn't know what to do with this at all. Any of it. It was upsetting and overwhelming and a whole lot of mess that left her just... confused as far as what next. Like trying to run GPS with a Nokia phone from 2001.
After a long sigh, she asked, “so... what do I do now?”
