"Oh, they're all Pugsly and Wednesday, except me. I'm cousin Marilyn," she said, naming the normal family member from a completely different black and white show about outcasts, which was probably even more appropriate. When Styx called her the white sheep, she wasn't even exaggerating. Lottie didn't fit with really any of her siblings, but at the same time, she was pretty sure her family needed her to be as she was.
And then Ninkasi was asking about the sibling that she'd just thought of, and Philotes took a long drink of her beer to consider how she should answer. Because she sort of had an idea what the Sumerian was asking for, but Lottie didn't think she could tell her that. Or even if she should if she could, which she couldn't, so that was moot anyway.
"Well," she finally said, "I don't know if I can really tell you much of anything. I mean, I was around, but it's not like I lived there or anything. I was just the aunt that brought sweets and cuddles and talked too much, and Styx sort of pushed me out the door sometimes because I do sometimes overstay my welcome, and they were a family, you know? I know that there were some rumors about what went on between Styx and Pallas, but that's because people only looked at their patronages, because they couldn't understand how Hate and Warcraft could be married and loving, but they were, really. It was just that they were sort of... intense when they were together. The two of them, I mean. Not as a family, not like with the kids and stuff, though Styx is a fantastic mom, she really is, and she loves Kray and his sibligs, calls them the Styxlings, because you know, she feels things a lot deeper than--"
Lottie suddenly realized she was saying more about her sister than Styx might appreciate, so she bit her lip to keep more words from coming out. It took a moment for the overwhelming need to speak to subside, but then she finished, "Anyway, I don't know how he was with his parents. I just know how he was with me. Sorry."
