She'd never been one of those strange people who was put off by physical contact. It would have made being who she was rather contradictory if she was. So, generally speaking, Ninkasi never shied away from people touching her. Especially gestures of comfort, which was what the hug was.
“Oh yes,” she replied somewhat sadly, “it is all related.” She leaned her head back against the booth and sighed before turned it to look over at Lottie. “I can tell you not only the main instigation, but when it started and when and what triggered it to spiral out of control.”
She always knew those.
“All of it, the common thread... is your nephew,” Ninkasi admitted, then looked to her glass and drank heavily, again the volume not depleting. “It started as a small nagging I could still ignore with the whole 'oops, saw him naked' thing. But the wild spiral out of control? That started November 1st, last year, and I know because it was bothering me already when I talking to Re about it and bitching about Zeus being a giant child -since this was right after the party, and Re's answer was to give me sweet tea and pop-tarts....” She rolled her eyes. “If he was mortal, he'd have diabetes.”
Looking back at the Greek beside her, she said with a sad smile, “all because someone, with a mask on, decided he was going make a very public move on me and kiss me, and I didn't know who he was, so I wasn't into it and politely refused the person who I didn't know was him to look for the actual him...” She sighed again. “And then found out was the guy with the mask and I was confused and met with a wall of apologies.”
Ninkasi shook her head. “You know, up until a few days ago, I wasn't sure what I would have done if I had known it was him. But considering that I went over there to talk because we hadn't really done so for six months... and ended up having like... ridiculously amazing sex within 15 minutes of walking in the door, if that... I'm pretty sure I have my answer to that question.” She took another really long drink from her glass.
