She smiled broadly. “I like to see people happy and enjoying life.” Ninkasi took a drink. “I have boundaries, but, I don't go into detail because most never ask and they just assume if they haven't made it yet, they will eventually. Or something.” She shrugged. “Actually, no.” She said after an abrupt pause, “I don't have boundaries I have rules, to keep people from getting hurt. Anyone taken is off limits. If they are in any kind of a commitment or any part of their heart is involved with someone... I will not stir that kettle and make a mess.”
Ninkasi turned sideways and kicked her feet up, “I usually avoid close siblings of good friends of mine because of the awkwardness factor.” She was specifically referring to Kratos' siblings but didn't want to elaborate. “Though, it was really hard to not pounce Bast's brother a few times. Hellloooo, Anubis.” Which was when she took another drink to hide the awkward in that.
“And,” she continued, “I try to avoid complications. I've been pretty good at that.” Been, anyway.
“It's a different world for me... fluidity,” she admitted. “It's not about caring about the person you are with. There's not really any emotion involved at all. It's pure hedonism. The pleasure of it all. I know that's changed meanings over the centuries,” Ninkasi shrugged, “so, my definition is clearly as old as I am. Pleasure, that's the key. Once emotion gets involved there's a complication and people can get hurt... right?”
She didn't know but that sounded like a logical deduction. “So, feeling good. It doesn't just have to be about sex. It could be relaxing with a beer and talking to the lady across the bar who will just listen to everything you have to say without judging, it can be throwing a huge party so everyone can just unwind and relax, playing cards, laughing your ass off at Keeping up Appearances... anything.” She looked down at her glass for a minute and then back up at Lottie. “Everyone should get a chance to be happy and enjoy their life.”
