She had already been smiling, but at watching her sip, then drink, then take a long swallow followed by the audible appreciation, Ninkasi was beaming. It never got old. Ever. Having anyone appreciate what she did never got old, especially when it was someone who wasn't so accustomed to her that she wasn't sure if she was just being fed certain things to keep her ego happy. Even so, she wasn't going to ask, that seemed... like she was fishing for compliments.
Instead, she addressed Dionysos. “Dio and I have, for the most part, just adopted each other as siblings from another world.” She shrugged one shoulder, touched the bottom of Philotes' glass so it topped itself off, picked up her own from where it had been sitting on the bar and gestured for the Greek to follow so they could sit. “Too many things in common: sexual fluidity, we make alcoholic potables, we both had non-standard births from our fathers... or, as he calls it,” she looked over at Lottie, “Daddy-Mommies.”
Ninkasi would have grabbed a stool at the end of the bar, but really, it wasn't the most comfortable for a good conversation and it would be nice if her feet could touch the floor. So, to a booth she went. She could put her feet up if she wanted. It was her bar. “Well, and as you said, I am friends with Thor. But, I think everyone deserves a chance and he clearly hated who he was when I found him. So I just tried to help as much as I could. I'm a little uncomfortable with this idea that did more than I did. I found other people to help him,” she said sliding into the booth, “I just stuck around so he didn't feel alone.”
She shrugged, “did you ever get any invites to any of the parties at my place in Queensland? People bring friends if they think they'll be cool and not cause trouble. I mean, obviously, you haven't been to them or we'd have met before, but just wondering who else we may have overlap for. Thor doesn't get invites for those... the potential for triggers is too high. Kray just... doesn't come... not his thing.” She exhaled longly.
