Darkness looked at his wife over their daughter’s head. “She feels that she has failed as Harmonia’s friend. Even with the evidence suggesting the opposite.”
He rubbed Philotes’ back gently. “How were you selfish? You were tired of listening to her whine about her losses? She needed someone to get her to stop and do something about it. That was you. If you weren’t such a good friend that loved her, then you would have just let it continue.” Erebos kept his voice low. He did not want to upset or embarrass his daughter by bringing Nyx or Harmonia into their conversation before Philotes was ready. Though, he always believed that Nyx was better at these talks than he was. She was always able to find the right words. He just had broad shoulders for anyone to lean on.
“We will all work together to help you both.” He raised his voice slightly to include Harmonia in that statement. He would help her as he would one of his own.
