“Just are,” she answered, voice not cracking nearly as much, but still heavy. “It's just one of those things. It's not generally acceptable to screw around with your best friends siblings. It causes friction... sometimes just between the friends, but worse... sometimes in the family.” Things were different, obviously, in cases with huge families or where siblings weren't close enough to care. But Kratos was close to his brother and sisters. It was problematic.
Ninkasi pulled herself backward to look up at him. “Thor, he punched a drunk kid who made a pitiful attempt at groping me, which I had already taken care of a second before... this was while still before I knew it was him under that stupid mask. Knowing what we know of his brother.... and how neither Zelos or I are exactly poster children for commitment or monogamy... how would you really see Kray handling that?” Lifting her hand, she wiped at her face. “Honestly?”
She swallowed hard. “And I have to fix things because I can't stay like this. I want my rugby buddy back. I haven't watched a game since this started, let alone been to one. Or just watch movies and hang out. It's not the same. But I don't know how much longer I have to just wait for it to settle when it won't settle. It's been almost a year since it started..." Then the sighed.
"At least... I think so. I don't even know. Maybe he was lying about that. Maybe I'm full of shit and I don't now it. I don't know." At which point she groaned in frustration.
