“I do not think that would be wise,” she replied after a short moment of thought on the matter. Not because any part of her particularly wanted to visit the Egyptian but because she didn't really wish to cause offense that might make things difficult for her son. While she could have agreed and then just shelved it for infinity, lying about her intentions was just not something Styx ever felt comfortable with. That was not her.
She turned toward the shelf and scanned the titles while aligning them properly. Since her original plan had been to find something to read, that was the task she was going to return to. “I am not going to placate you with a lie that I have any intention of doing so when the opposite is true.”
Pulling a book free she scanned the description on the jacket and added as a follow-up, “I like things a very particular way and have an extremely low tolerance for rudeness.”
