The woman never had children of her own. So there was no possible way for her to understand what it felt like to have your parenting decisions questioned so bluntly. Or at all.
Which... her lack of children was explained by the woman being married to Thoth. He was alright, Styx had heard from many different people... and her son certainly took to him... but...
How did they not have children? Styx looked at Seshat. The woman was gorgeous. Was one of them incapable of having children? Maybe she should be rude and ask, as a sort of backhanded way of showing her what that felt like. Though, Styx's luck, she wouldn't get it anyway. That whole social ineptitude. Autistic. Seriously.
“You can't even begin to imagine,” she snorted, rudely. “Because you don't have any of your own.” Styx huffed for a moment, fussing with a few books nearby, and thought on what she could say next. If anything. She shouldn't be so rude. Her son liked this woman and her husband.
Damn. “My son is quite fond of your husband,” she said finally, after a moment.
