Styx's head tipped slightly to the side in utter disgusted disbelief. It was such a rude question that she honestly could not believe that someone had just asked it of her. The only question that was worse would have been would have been if this Egyptian had inquired about her betrayal of Pallas. Actually, even after all these ages, Styx might still take a swing at her for that.
“Are you always this rude and tactless or do you actually have the social skills of an autistic gerbil?” It was equally as rude a response, she knew, but her children and parenting was just called into question and Seshat was lucky Hate didn't cuff her one for that. “But, to answer your question... Zeus isn't in a coma, is he? Because if I didn't feel that they did, he would be.”
No question. The high and mighty King of Olympus was going to hold up his end of the deal until the end of time, or the end of his reign -whichever came first, or he would have... hell to pay.
The frown that had been partially curled and prepared to snarl and snap, softened a bit. Because she remembered that in the same breath this woman had also complimented her son. She was by no means surprised to hear that Kratos made a good impression wherever he went, Styx liked to think she and Pallas raised him well and that Olympian entitlement had not rubbed off on him. It sounded like it hadn't, and not just when she wasn't around to see him.
Wait.
Kratos visited this woman? Kratos. Enough that she had a grip on his personality, and she was always happy to see him, and is glad he picks up after himself....
Styx was missing something somewhere. Either there was a variable missing here somewhere, or he was repeatedly hooking up with someone and she knew nothing about it. Until now. Both were possible, actually. The latter would be surprising because while the Egyptian was pretty attractive, Styx always thought her son had some closet, unrequited crush on Ninkasi and was just waiting patiently for him to confirm or deny that so she could be a mother about it. But... this.
“I am glad to hear that Kratos has made a good impression. I expect such behavior out of all of my children.”
