When the waitress approached with the invitation, Re's eyebrows went up in curiosity. He looked around quickly, and spotted the man looking his way. Zeus! That would certainly make for good dining conversation. "Certainly," and he follwed the lady to the Greek's table.
Theirs was a relationship that seemed to defy explanation. Re wouldn't say it went as deep as friendship, yet they were far from acquaintances. There came a point where the number of years alone defied that. Whatever they were, he was glad to see the younger Greek.
"I'll have what he's drinking," he told the waitress so as to dismiss her as quickly and politely as possible before greeting his host. Once she stepped away, he offered his hand. "Zeus, it's been a long time, I think."
