Harmonia sighed and started walking, taking longer than normal strides to catch up. That wasn't what she meant. She wasn't really sure what to do with her hands, so to give them a bit of something, she pulled the tie out of her hair and set to pulling her hair back into a tighter ponytail than it had been in moments before. It had been gradually coming loose throughout the day.
She wasn't really sure what to say as she fell into step with Philotes. Everything in her head just sounded pathetic but she needed to say something. So, as the elastic band snapped into place as tight as she could make it and still be able to get it out later, she asked, rather awkwardly, “were you able to get that machine you were working on up and running again?”
It sounded stupid, like idle chatter. Even Harmonia knew that idle chatter was inane and irritating, but they were going to have to start somewhere.
