“He's around here somewhere, I'm sure,” she said to her favorite uncle. She was going to avoid all mention of strippers at this hypothetical party. If that was the worst that happened, it would be just fine. “I was delayed due to a swine-related emergency. And I have no idea what he's wearing. There was no theme because I couldn't think of anything not lame that didn't risk, in some way, being unintentionally offensive. Not having a firm grasp on history or anything... yeah.” It was sort of strange, since Dionysos still hadn't put her down, to just hang there while pressed against the wine box costume and carry on a conversation.
Harmonia just shrugged. “And since everything Lottie was trying to get me to wear was a bit too... skanky for my liking, this is what I went with.... because, oh my god, have you seen True Blood? Either of you? Lots of mostly naked hot men that are vampires and werewolves and fairies and just... guh.”
She wanted a drink. Like from her bottle on the tray the lovely person near them was holding for her. “Sweetie, can you put me down for a sec? I need a drink.” She gave her grandson a happy smile. “Oh, was that Vidar that was here a moment ago, then? I wanted to meet him. Lottie hasn't introduced us yet. And no, I wouldn't say that he's pretty. Pretty isn't really my preference, you know? I like that more... I dunno... masculine thing.”
