Rosmerta's lips pursed, just slightly. He knew that she did not do more than one in the bedroom at a time. She knew he knew, because she had been very emphatic about it any time it had come up in the past. So saying something about another woman suggested that he was going to end the evening with someone other than her. Not. Happening. Tonight was hers, start to finish. And she'd let him know that.
But the defensive words that wanted to burst out of her mouth died before they reached her lips when she turned to see the woman he was speaking of. There was only one woman in that direction, and while she did have lovely legs, and shoes that she only recognized because of her association with Iris, Rosmerta had to swallow a laugh. She bit her lower lip to hold it in.
“Oh yes,” she agreed. “She's definitely putting it all out there. I'm sure those implants cost a pretty penny, given that they're the size of basketballs. Pity she couldn't spend enough to get clothing tailored to fit a bit better. One deep breath and at least three of those buttons are going to go flying.”
She glanced around the dining area and with a grin she said, “If we're choosing our own dessert, I think I might like to try tall, dark and buff over there. With some ice cream.” Rosmerta refused to look at Mercury to see his reaction, instead keeping her eyes on the back of the man's head. He really did have some wonderfully broad shoulders.
