A Wish To Aid (tag: Frigg)
Ever since the party that Ninkasi had thrown, Isis had been troubled. The more time that went by, the more troubled she became.
So far she had done almost nothing. Sigyn had asked for help. Isis and Thoth had, for all intents and purposes, hidden behind a veil of diplomacy. Isis wanted to help, but she also knew her uncle was right; sticking her nose in where it didn't need to be would not be good for relations. Yet how could she just sit still, denying aid to both her friend and her Norse counterparts?
Oh, she had put the word out, as she said she would. But it was unlikely that those in her homeland would find anything. And maybe there was nothing she could do either, but she could at least offer. Isis understood all too well what it was like to have someone she loved go missing. She had nearly turned the world upside down, betrayed her own great-grandfather, tricked a queen, and killed a child, all to ensure her husband's safe return. And she'd still only gotten that half right.
The Egyptian had hoped Frigg would come to her, but as that did not seem to be the way this was going to go, she decided to head to Asgard herself. She was not slighted- Isis understood that things had to be at a nearly panicked state by now with as much time as had passed since Odin's son had vanished.
She didn't know that there was much else she could do, but she could be there. And if asked by the Queen, Isis would then have an excuse to take things a little further than she could otherwise. Even Thoth would have to see that. In the off chance that Isis found something, and that it pointed directly to another pantheon, then she would seek his council further before taking action.
Isis had forgotten how cold it was in the North this time of year. As she stood at the door of Frigg's hall and knocked, she pulled the collar of her coat a little closer around her neck, hoping whichever attendant would be sent to answer the door would hurry.
