Re: Loki and Hermes and Hermod and Open
Hermes chuckled after Eris left, turning to comment to Loki. He never got the chance. Hermod came in from nowhere and started in on the Norse Trickster.
"No, that was my sister. She's a little nuts- well, not as nuts as my other sister, and they are only half sisters, but you know..." Hermes quickly realized he might as well have worn Hades' invisibility cap with as much attention as Hermod was giving him. He couldn't remember ever being so blatantly ignored before.
He watched the two of them for a minute, feeling a bit like being on the sidelines of a ping pong match. Finally, the two of them seemed to stop for breath and Hermes reached out as if to touch Hermod's arm. Not quite laying his hand on him, for Hermes was anything but a fool and Hermod's current mood made him want to protect his own skin, but enough that it would be hard for the son of Odin to miss his attempt at attention.
"Hey Hermod, take it easy. This probably isn't the best place for this." Hermes nodded toward Odin and Frigg, seeing they were still deep in conversation with his own father and his wife. "Loki was just telling me about Bragi and how worried he is." Maybe his concern had seemed to be more about his own welfare, but Hermes could well understand that. Protect yourself first, he figured.
"Anything I can do to help?" Really, he just wanted to distract Hermod from his current target. The way Hermes figured it, the rest would work itself out. Somehow. It always seemed to.
