For the first time that Lottie could recall, she simply had no words to describe what had just happened. Oh, she could use words to try, but there just wasn't a superlative that would truly come close to explaining the exquisite-melty-hot-vibratey-floaty-yummy-liquid-happy-incredibleness of being kissed by Vidar. For a guy that didn't speak much, he really knew how to use his mouth in other ways exceptionally well.
Which immediately brought to mind other ways he could use that talented mouth with her, and her face lit up with a bright blush. Philotes didn't care. He'd totally rocked her socks off, and while she might be embarrassed about the timing of her somewhat naughty thoughts, she wasn't willing to shy away from them. Not when he could make her feel like that with just a kiss.
Hoo boy.
He smiled at her, in that way that made his eyes crinkled up the way she liked; the way that told her it was an honest smile and he was sincerely pleased. Because he was here with her? Because she'd kissed him? Because... did it matter? The point was, he was happy and he was with her. Lottie openly returned the smile, intending to both apologize for kissing him so abruptly, and thank him for kissing her back the way he had. And maybe ask him to do it again.
But he spoke first, and what he said made the smile fall right off her face. Idun! How could she have forgotten Idun? And Bragi! What a horrible friend she was, and it was a thousand times worse that she had done it, because she wasn't any old friend. She was the goddess of friendship! If she'd had a membership card to be a goddess, it would have been revoked. Lottie felt wretched.
She turned to look for her friend, because of course, they were going to see Idun before they had some silly snacks, but Lottie didn't immediately spot her. Instead, she saw another friend, and he looked like he was about to get into a fight. Without thinking, she let out a worried comment on a sigh, “Oh no. Hermod.”
