Re: Sif, Hermod, and Open
"He's not busy. He's insufferable." Sif retorted, forgetting for a moment that she was talking to Thor's brother. "Sorry. It's me, not you, I'm sure." Though she couldn't imagine why Thor wouldn't at least acknowledge his bother. It would have been a good excuse for him to ignore his wife, though he was doing a fine enough job of that anyway.
Sif smiled at Hermod's offer. At least one of the brothers still treated her decently. She was about to ask if he knew who might have already been informed outside their pantheon, when he let out an utterance that was very uncharacteristic of the messenger she knew. She followed his gaze and saw exactly what Hermod was referring to. Or rather, who.
"Loki." She breathed the name, not even knowing she had done so. Silently she thanked her friend for letting her know he was out, because as bad as her reaction was now, she couldn't fathom what she would have been like if she'd seen him like this and not known.
"Did you know he was out?" Casual, Sif, she told herself. Just be cool and act like his being here wasn't affecting her. That her heart wasn't suddenly racing. That the sight of him wasn't making her want to rush to him, and knowing that it was something she could never do again. It was tearing her apart.
