Perses eyed his nephew while he extracted himself from the pool using the helping hand offered, and all the while as he put the leash back on Duke. He knew the boy wanted to laugh, and so he kept watching until he did. It wasn't an all out letting go of things when it happened, but it was enough.
"You laugh, but you're the one who let him go." Perses wasn't mad though, not even a little bit. "It might be taking them to the water that has spoiled them, actually. They were recently at the beach. There was an incident with a squid."
Both dogs, sopping, seemed pretty pleased with themselves, and were now giving Kratos the attention they hadn't given him after the pool had come into play.
Perses waved at the crowd and made his way back off of the platform the way that they'd all come up.
