Hmm. No smile to accompany the greeting. Well, that was alright. Iris closed her planner and gave the smile she hadn't received. “Welcome back to the mountain,” she said. It wasn't all that uncommon for any deity to be gone for an extended period of time these days. The mortal world held many wonders all its own and then, for some of them, Concept was the preferred place to dwell. Personally, Iris found the idea of simply being in her purest of forms to be dreadfully boring, but to each their own.
“Zeus is... around.” The Rainbow answered. “He comes and goes, as always.” Something was always grabbing their King's attention. Nymphs, mortals... the horses he kept in America. And that was just touching on it. “Right now, though,” A faraway look appeared on Iris' face as her eyes lost focus for a moment. It was her way of tapping into her ability as a messenger to locate anyone she needed to at any given moment.
It was quite a useful ability, but one she didn't always utilize fully since it left her somewhat vulnerable. If there was one thing she had had learned since the Titanomachy, it was to not leave oneself vulnerable for any extended period of time. Athena was no threat, however, so the titaness felt secure in searching the available energy signatures on Olympus for Zeus. The distant look disappeared and she finished her sentence, “He's in his palace.” Then she smiled again.
Pausing a moment, she realized that this was probably one of her more awkward encounters. She really had nothing in common with Wisdom other than the fact that they were both Greek. “So, what brings you back? Just a visit or think you'll stick for awhile?”
