Gilded wings spread, Iris soared through the skies of Olympus. It was faster than walking, but more personable than just stepping in and out of concept. Really, if she couldn't be bothered to be seen openly, no one was going to flag her down. Which, when she was on business for Hera, wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It made her efficient. Sometimes, however, it was far better to be seen.
Though, truthfully, it tended to depend on what she was wearing. Some outfits were not conducive to having wings springing from near her shoulder blades. Skill through the ages had taught her proper positioning of her legs and feet to retain her modesty and avoid losing a cherished shoe.
Given the limited amount of air traffic over Olympus, even considering the number of winged deities about at any given time, Iris felt perfectly comfortable flipping through her planner as she flew the familiar path back to Hera's. Even with all the technology available, she still found it was more efficient to write shorthand on a paper based planner than to spend time flipping through menus and typing in entries.
She crossed off her latest task on the list, which had taken her to mainland mortal Greece, and smiled when she realized she had the rest of the afternoon free. That was until later. Triple H was tonight...
Happy Hour Hermes
More gossip than anything else, it was disguised as a standing business meeting between coworkers. No one ever questioned it and Iris even suspected that Hera knew the truth about these... 'meetings.' She was just about to head for Hera's when that familiar tickle she got when another deity was around struck. She hovered and looked down.
Athena.
Curious, Iris set herself down before the Olympian's door, closed her planner and politely knocked at the front door. It wasn't really her job to check in on Athena, but she had been gone for quite a while and Iris both wanted to know why and have some information to take back to Hera. The Queen definitely liked to know what was going on where and when... not months later.
