Her point having been made and obviously received, there was no use dwelling on it.
"Yes, I do." She stood and called out to her own temple. "Fatima, we are ready for you."
The old woman appeared in an instant, holding something draped in red silk. She bowed quickly to Horus. "Sabah el-khair, Horus." Her eyes squinted for a moment. "Have you been eating enough? You look a little thin to me." Fatima, while a servant, had become so much a part of the family, she couldn't help the familiarity. She, too, considered him her son, in a way. If anyone thought Isis was meddling, they hadn't spent nearly enough time with her head of household. Her interference, however, was in family matters alone. She still knew and kept her place in more formal settings.
Nearly bouncing with excitement, she handed the object to Isis. "He's been fussing quite a bit," she whispered to the queen. Wanting desperately to linger to see how things would unfold, and knowing she couldn't, she turned again to Horus with a nod of her head, gave Isis a look that informed the queen that she expected to hear everything, and she was gone.
Isis turned, holding the object in her hands. "As I said, it seems Gwydyon came upon this, and felt I could have far more use for it than he would. Pulling her self up stiffly in full regal air, she proceeded.
"Harendotes-Har-nedj-itef, Ruler of the Great House of Lower Egypt, I present to you Sutekh, Defender of Apep, proclaimed Pharaoh of Upper Egypt."
With a flourish, she removed the cloth, revealing her captive.
