Reconnecting [Zephyrus]
Iris was genuinely happy. Things seemed to making a turn for the better in her life. Her son had come home, he seemed to be under the good influence of Philotes, Zephyrus had come home and above all, he seemed to really be out to make this work. They had talked, sorted things out, and Zephyrus had agreed to her offer to let him move back in. Things definitely seemed to be perfect.
She set down her glass and picked her fork back up, picking at her salad. "I hope Aphrodite's auction went well." Iris was understandably concerned, considering that the last affair Aphrodite held ended in their son being burnt to a crisp by a surly Underworlder and the death of Hedylogos.
Nothing would have gotten Iris there. Not only because she preferred to not be involved in such an activity, but because temptation might prove to be too strong to actually bid. Especially to try to protect her son from less than savory deities. It was just better that she not be in attendance.
Instead she decided that with Pothos most definitely otherwise occupied for an indeterminate amount of time, she was going to devote time to reconnecting with her husband. That involved dinner and whatever they decided to do afterward. Milan was Iris' favorite city and not only because it was the center of fashion in her world. There were plenty of things to do, and no shortage of activities and options would they find post dinner.
So many times she'd had the daydream of sharing her city and such evenings with her husband, only to find herself alone and returning to an empty home. Also alone. It had been a sad, lonely existence and perhaps she was a bit to eager to have him back, but it was understandable. Iris loved her husband wholly.
She'd been completely entranced by him since the day they first met. Cheesy pick-up lines and all. "I hope I didn't keep you from attending."
