Waiting [Hermod]
Skadhi sat at a table in a Swedish cafe, just outside of Stockholm. One leg was draped elegantly over the other while her fingernails drummed on the table. She was waiting, something Skadhi hated to do. Trouble was, while she was waiting for someone in particular, she hadn't called him yet. What had her mostly impatient at the moment was how long it was taking to receive the beverage she'd ordered.
Patience was not a virtue the snowshoe goddess was in possession of.
Njord had said something, while she visited him, that had piqued her interest. Hermod was one of the few Aesir that might prove useful in this quest to see Loki rebound. Or worse. Skadhi wasn't quite as sure. Hermod certainly had plenty of reason to want to see Loki back under control, but it would remain to be seen if he would be useful or not.
It might require going against Odin's wishes, if Loki's freedom was part of Odin's wishes. Hermod was a brave boy, but was he brave enough to go against Odin? The boy, after all, hadn't been there when she'd gone for Loki's children and getting the Trickster bound the first time.
"Hermod," she said in such a precise manner that showed she would allow no room for interpretation as to her wanting his attention. "Do come and join and old friend for lunch." It was more of a demand than a request, and while she'd never really called him friend she felt it would be easier to get him there if he knew he wasn't in danger.
When her beverage finally arrived, she gave a cold glare at the server to show her obvious displeasure at being made to wait. And now she was waiting again, this time legitimately. If Hermod was wise, he wouldn't make her wait long. Skadhi took a sip from her glass and resumed drumming her nails on the table.
