Will had been sent to the coffee shop on the corner to bring drinks back for both Nicholas, his master, and Nicholas' secretary. Will had written down what they wanted so that he could simply hand it to the barista, along with a ten dollar bill. After successfully navigating that interaction, difficult for William in and of itself, he moved off to the side so he would be out of the way as he waited for the drinks to be made. He watched the other people in the shop, but he tried to be subtle. He didn't want anyone to think he was being nosy. He was relieved when the drinks were finished so he could go back to his Master's office. He picked them up and turned to head back out of the shop, only run straight into someone who'd walked up behind him, managing to spill one of the coffees all down their shirt.
