Hey all! I'm Bree and this is Christine Preston. It's been about eight months since I journal RPed, so please bear with me. Anywho... Hi! I'm excited to be here and to play one of my favorite characters. So about me first... I'm a mother to one child precious 3 year old so far and if any of you Skype with me, you'll likely meet her on cam. She's into EVERYTHING! I work full time, but thankfully have access to the pages necessary to play. I'm pretty quick to respond and always have been. If I'm slow to respond, poke me... I might not have gotten the email notif. You can get me one of three ways... AIM:babbshoneybunny ; Skype:babbles83 ; or Email:babbshoneybunny@gmail.com
Christine was born and raised in Seattle, WA. Her father is a Reigner and her mother an acquiescent. She was born five years after her brother Adam (a Reigner as well) was born. He was born 10 weeks prematurely, with lungs that weren't fully developed so their parents wanted to make he was well on his way to better health before they considered another child. Growing up she watched her brother struggle to keep up with other kids his age and their parents restricting him, so to keep him company Christine restricted herself. They were as close as two siblings with a five year age gap could be. As they grew older, they each turned to different things for pleasure but still hung out often. Christine began to read more and more often, all sorts of things, and decided by the time she was eight that she wanted to do something in the book industry.
It was also when she was eight that her life was forever changed. While vacationing at their summer lake house, Christine went swimming out further than she should by herself to retrieve a ball that was about to be lost to her forever if she didn't act fast. After grabbing the ball, she slipped on the floating dock hitting her head, and falling into the water unconscious. Adam happened to be coming out the back door when he spotted her hitting her head and falling into the water. Racing out to her, he dove in and swam out to where the dock was and tried to get her out of the water. Having yelled out to his parents in the house when everything happened, his father wasn't far behind him. Overall it took about four minutes to get to, find, and pull her out of the water. Her mother had called 9-1-1 and the ambulance could be heard in the distance as they tried to resuscitate her. While they were able to get the water out of her lungs, her heart beating and breathing again, she remained unconscious for several more hours. It took so long for her to come to, that the injury to her left eardrum wasn't addressed quick enough and has thus left her permanently deaf in that ear.
To make a long story, hopefully, shorter, she hated being deaf in one hear and never wanted anyone outside of her family and closest family friends to know about her disability. The school needed to know so that she could get extra help and over time, it eventually got out. She and her family do use ASL like second nature when they're all together. She reads lips a lot and does blush when people call her out on staring at their lips (she hates to admit why she's really doing it, but she doesn't try to play it off in some flirting way). She's demi-sexual and while she finds people attractive, that attraction hasn't gone anywhere. It hasn't aroused her. It hasn't made her want to do anything physical or anything like that. It's all about the strong emotional/intellectual connection for her.
She's just moved to Boston to continue her education. Christine's received her Associates degree in Literature back home and has transferred into a three year program that will have her graduate with her Masters degree. She lives off campus in a small apartment her parents pay for and she's just gotten a job at a bookstore by her apartment as a cashier. And now that I've rambled on... PLEASE PLAY WITH ME! :D
