Welcome! I'm newish to the game, but not so newish to insanejournal, though I kind of feel new to it as I dropped out of the journal RP scene for like almost 4 years, and now a lot of things are done differently than when I was in my RP prime. But this game, and the way its run and how it works reminds me of the way things were years ago, so its been a comfortable fit!

My boy here is a human, just recently sold into a life as a helot and is currently living in a halfway house waiting to be bought. He's miserable and hates his life so he's kind of hard to talk to at the moment, lol, but he'll be around if there's anything about him you'd be interested in!

Damien sounds like a ton of fun!

I have Nicky here, who is an Empath (but has only very recently discovered that and is trying to get around that. He is also deaf (can hear a tiny little bit with the help of hearing aids, but mostly really loud sounds, like cars honking and stuff like that) and reads lips. He talks, but has a noticeable accent that gets even worse when he's nervous or excited or upset. He is currently job hunting because otherwise he might have to turn himself a helot to survive. He is very sweet and naive and firmly believes in the good of people.

Don't worry we'll help you as you need :) I have Rosa here who I'm not sure right off for Damien BUT I also have Aran's brother Maddox again who likely will be a better shot.
