He couldn't believe this was what he had come home to. Of course he would have never been notified that Dora had been missing for five hours. Why would anyone even think to let him know what she was doing during her auror training? Occasionally Moody gave him the side eye but he denied the conversation by vanishing whenever questions may come up about what was between them.
So the whole time he spent away from her she was never mentioned. And suddenly he ached that he wasn't told. Maybe if he admitted his feelings towards her he would have been warned about this situation but instead he was blindsided and found his life flashing before his eyes.
Remus tried to breathe, sitting straight in the chair now, his hands clutching the arms of it. There was so much he wanted to ask her or say to her. So many times he had been crushed. So many times he just wanted to talk. He had been cursed by being changed so young and finding the love of his life so young.
And then it truly struck him, staring at Dora again for like it was the first time again. "Oh dora... Merlin I've dreamed of you..." He muttered while staring at her, tears finding themselves at the edges of his eyes.
