Rodolphus managed to give a few smiles, more just so as to confuse his mother and future generations when they saw these pictures. Might as well take an opportunity to be an ass. The worst thing was that when he really smiled. Really smiled, he was quite a striking looking man. The mysterious and heavy air around him vanished and he looked like someone you wanted to know, a man you would be desperate to make smile like that again.
He held his wife while they danced, moving his body languidly and with on real purpose or drive. "I think we have to make it until the toasts and then I'm leaving regardless of complaint," he responded, dark eyes traveling about the room.
"I trust we have a portkey waiting yes? I don't want to give anyone much of a chance to see us off." He shuddered at the thought of his mother getting all emotional at him leaving with his wife for a new life. She would probably want to hug and kiss him and that was not acceptable; especially not with all these people.
