As soon as he leaned her back up he could see his mother's pinched face in the front row making it obvious that she wasn't impressed with his public display of affection. Well good for her that she wouldn't have to see the private ones later that evening as she sure as hell would have been scandalized. Rodolphus had always been a possessive man and now that she was well and truly his, he wanted to take advantage of his opportunity to fully stake his claim.
They walked back down the isle but his eyes hardly left her face. This might have been a marriage out of expectation but he certainly hadn't gone through with it just because he had to. The way he felt about her was quite evident and given the happy smile on her usually dark face, the audience to their union had gotten to witness a truly spectacular moment. Both Rodolphus and Bellatrix had been....happy.
They reached outside and took a moment to look around, absently reaching to loosen the clasp on his dress robes just a bit. He started to respond to her but instead she was kissing him, occupying both his mouth and his mind enough that whatever words he had poised to say simply vanished in an instant.
He kissed her deeply, hands resting first on her cheeks and then down to her slender throat before pushing down the rest of her body so that he could pull her closer. Fuck the rest of this pomp and circumstance. Couldn't they just be gone already? Everyone else could enjoy the party. He really didn't feel like going around and making small talk with a bunch of people he could barely stand.
The kiss grew even deeper and more desperate but was reluctantly broken at the sound of someone politely clearing their throat.
Rabastan stood about five feet away, looking a cross between annoyed and amused. "Are you simply trying to kill our mother? There could be easier far less public ways. The photographer is ready when you two are. Though I think you might...ah....need a few moments." He shook his head and turned to walk away for the sake of privacy.
