WHAT: Prepping for a potential run because Izzy likes being prepared.

There had been no official orders handed down for him to go out on a run, but Izzy liked being prepared. Well, these days, it was better to be prepared than to fly by the seat of your pants. Not that everything always went according to plan. Izzy knew very well how plans could change in an instant, especially with the new types of dead things out there and he didn't want to be caught unawares.

At this point he was checking over his bag, a hiking bag that he'd grabbed from some hunting store during his journey. It was large enough to carry what he needed without being bulky, and that meant a lot to Izzy. None of the buckles on the pack had been torn, zippers were still in working order, and there were no tears. That was check one. Inside the pack were just a few items, a fresh pair of socks, a sweatshirt since the weather was turning colder and two extra bottles of water packed neatly away. Clipped to the front was a small, but bright, LED flashlight and inside one of the pouches an extra protein bar as a just in case. He couldn't afford to be out there without something to eat in the event he was kept away for a night or two, holed up somewhere without anything to eat or drink.

He might've went on suicide runs, but that didn't exactly mean he wanted to die.

Everything was in order, at least, he was ready in the event that they needed him to go out today. Izzy pushed his bag back underneath the bench he'd been sitting on, a hand reaching up to straighten the beanie he wore as he looked around over the camp. It wasn't bad being here, and while he wasn't as ruthless as some of the people here, he felt that it was the best place for the broken man he'd become.

Deanna watched from the shadows, she did that with people sometimes. Izzy always looked like he was ready to take on things before they took him on, she realized there was a reason for it and a good reason for that but there was a thing about being too prepared. Though, she didn't fault his ass, she had her own bag always prepared just incase. The essentials. She always planned to make it back to Sarah in one piece, or if they were together, there was insurance that at least one of them would survive and that would be her litty bitty baby sister.

After watching for a few moments longer, she pushed off the wall and slid her hands into the pockets of her jean jacket. She walked over and continued to watch Izzy in quiet, until she opened her mouth. “What are you doing? Preparing for the apocalypse?,” she asked, sarcastically. She took a seat on the bench, legs splayed a little as she turned her eyes on their camp. “We'll probably have to do a run in the next day or so. Supplies are dwindling for most of us.” Though admittedly, she conserved what she could but that didn't stop her from going for others.
