Since this storm had hit Alastor had been run ragged. All of his aurors were on their final legs with the constant rush of trying to keep these students safe. To him it seemed like the lot of them just seemed to want to die. Or they were just ungrateful kids that still did not realize that it was the adults that would have to run around cleaning up all their messes to keep them safe. Sure he liked rules, but it was not like he was enforcing them for fun. They were here to keep these kids safe but between them and the Death Eaters Alastor was not sure if he could really find the energy, let alone expect it from his team.
Sighing, he just stopped, mid patrol. After setting the torch in a fixture he leaned against the wall and sighed, sliding down and looking over at Proudfoot, beckoning her to join him. Her idea to team up had been a smart one at least. Having someone to watch his back between run ins with idiots was helping keep him awake. But the castle seemed quiet right now so there was no reason to not try to grab a little shut eye, even if it was a few minutes caught in the hall way.
"Come on, Devon." he insisted, closing his eyes as his head leaned back against the cold stone. "We stay on our feet much longer we won't be any use to whatever idiot civilian has decided they know better than us next."
