The temptation offered by various girls rarely had any affect on the ever stoic Ares. The teenager was in a constant state of misunderstanding when it came to the insisting, sometimes even direct, words of the opposite sex. It was not to say he was a fool, but he rarely found himself wishing and wanting for a bird to come along and hand herself over. There was little to be found in those that allowed no opportunity for a chase. It was frustrating and a tad dull. However, this mindset had not spared him from the confusion of having his best mate point out his mistake. Surely not all of them had been hinting toward the very thing he had overlooked.
"Verdammt," he murmured in frustration.
Luckily, the common room was empty as the rest of the Slytherin house find solitude in their rooms and their duties. It left him alone to shake his head in realization, and wonder just what would the rest of his mates say? But his curiosity was interrupted as a movement caught his eye and pulled him from his thoughts.
