Who: Eli Bucklin and Septima Vector
When: Monday, December 6. Between classes.
Where: Outer courtyard (outside YAY!)
Rating: PG
The outside air was very, very cold. Eli breathed it in with great, deep, stining breaths. It didn't matter if little white flakes were still falling from the sky, catching in his two-day stubble and sticking to his skin. It was the sky, and Eli was glad to see it. Even on his short trip home, all he had been able to see was the inside of a hospital room. The low gray clouds looked so very good to him right then.
He had made sure to bundle up for his quick break between classes. He hunched down into his hooded sweatshirt, which he had then covered with the soft leather jacket Lily had given him. He didn't have gloves, at least none with fingers, so he kept his hands stuffed down into the pockets. His hood had started the little outing up over his head, but now that he was standing the in courtyard, staring up at the sky and out across the grounds, he'd let it fall back to expose his ears to the cold. He only had a little time before he had to go inside for Transfiguration, but even a quick glance on the grounds was worth it. In a few days, he'd probably be helping clear paths to the greenhouses again.
