So far, Cassandra had made a name for herself. Most all Slytherins knew her name, and she had even made friends in other houses. Cassandra was a fairly popular girl, which was mostly due to her being a social butterfly. Cass loved to plan, attend, and seek out parties. If there was a party going on in Hogwarts, Cassandra usually knew about it. Her favourite days were when Slytherin won quidditch games, because then everyone wanted to party. Cassandra knew that a party was only as good as its guests. Unlike Narcissa, Cassandra's last name wasn't well known. People knew she was pureblooded, but that was about it. Narcissa had come to school knowing most faces, where as Cassandra knew only the Black sisters.
"A what?" Being raised by a nanny hadn't given Cassandra a terribly active imagination. She might have recognized the word 'alien', but extraterrestrial was out of her vocabulary. Wizards didn't need to believe in the supernatural because they were supernatural. If someone asked Cassandra 'do you think there are aliens' she would have replied no, but if someone asked 'do you think there's other wizards on another planet' she would have said yes. Aliens were big and green and creepy creatures to Cassandra.
Tapping a finger on her own leg, Cassandra nodded. "Yes, actually. Well, I don't know if it's interesting so much as it is awkward." Lifting her head, Cassandra gave the room a once over to make sure no one was around. Leaning closer to Irene, Cassandra had a twinkle in her eye. While she wasn't the type to create rumours, Cass loved to spread and twist them - under Rita's authority, of course. "Have you ever watched Alecto Carrow? I have a sneaky suspicious that she and Amycus, her brother, have a... too close for comfort relationship. As in, they've crossed the brother/sister boundaries. Maybe more than once." Cassandra spoke quickly with excitement - this was exciting news indeed!
