Who: Gawain Robards and Emily Harper When: After this. Where: Hufflepuff Common Room What: Chocolate! And potion induced happiness! Rating: Probably not too high with these two.
Gawain had been working on a potions essay in the library when he had seen Emily's entry in the journals. In Gawain's brain Emily was always more interesting than potions, especially when she was asking for him specifically by name. There was a slight fluttering sensation in his stomach as he wrote to her but really that was just going to have to be ignored. Men shouldn't get little fluttering feelings in their stomachs even if Emily really was, well, Emily.
After guessing that she was in the common room, Gawain packed up his books quickly. Today, for some unknown reason, he felt like he just had to go and give her the chocolate that his mum had sent him. And getting Emily chocolate was vastly more important than working through the potions report that he had spent the past two days on. Potions reports did not smile and wrinkle their nose when they giggled. Actually potions essays just didn't giggle at all, which was probably for the best. Homework was tough enough as it was without talking and making noises back at him.
Slinging his bag over his shoulder, he made the trek back to the common room. Along the way he gave himself a mental pep talk. There was nothing unusual about this. Just two friends sharing some chocolate, one of which just happened to be one of the prettier girls in the year. Which was not what he needed his brain reminding himself of. As he got closer to the common room he felt like his palms were getting a bit sweaty. That wouldn't do at all so he cast a light drying charm before climbing in after the password.
Looking around, he grinned brightly when he saw Emily. Fishing the box his mum sent him out of his bag, he walked over and offered it to her. "Look what I found." he said cheerily.
