I want to write what happened to Sirius and Cass, so HERE IT IS. I fail at studying, I know. Also - Gideon is covered in burns. Mary's grandfather (what Gideon imagines Mary's grandfather to be, at least) found Gideon and burned him at the stake. He's covered in third degree burns so he's in the hospital getting better.
Sirius squirmed, how hard was it for the school to provide comfortable beds? He threw his head in the air and then smashed it down on the pillow. With a sigh, Sirius rolled over. It took an awfully long time for him to fall asleep, but finally...
He was in a meadow. It was nighttime, but it wasn't dark - it was the full moon. Once Sirius recognized his surroundings, something smashed into him, ripping his back apart and throwing him to the ground. He felt teeth - werewolf, he suddenly thought. Without missing a beat, Sirius became a large black dog. With a growl, Sirius ran a few feet and turned. The sight before him was a horrible one. The werewolf was attacking a stag --- James, Sirius realize with dread. He began barking and growling simultaneously, the stag was badly injured. Sirius knew, deep down, that if he tried to help he wouldn't live.
But he had to try, James was his best mate. His brother.
Leaping at the werewolf, Sirius bit into it's neck. Furiously, Sirius used his teeth and paws to rip apart the werewolf's neck. It was working! When Sirius dug deeper, he realized this wasn't any werewolf. It was Remus - Remus had attacked James and now Sirius was... Sirius backed off the werewolf, but it was too late. Blood flowed onto the grass, all over him. Wincing, Sirius nuzzled the form, hoping it was a mistake. A horrible mistake, Remus was fine - he ad to be fine.
Suddenly, Sirius felt a knife rip through him. He immediately turned into his human found. With horror, Sirius realize he had been impaled in one of James' antlers. With haste, James returned back to his human form, but there was nothing he could do. Sorrow and fear was written across his face, but he said nothing. "P-Pr-Prongs," Sirius choked out. Before Sirius drifted into nothingness, he saw a grin appear on James' face. A grin of achievement. He had meant to do this...
Sirius jerked in his bed, but then became still. Very still.
"I do," replied Cassandra. Within moments her lips were touching Paul's, and she was no longer Cassandra Bulstrode. Who would have thought she of all people would marry so young? Grinning at her husband, Cassandra took his hand and ran down the aisle. People threw all sorts of various confetti at them, but it was the ocean Cass was running towards. She felt resistance on Paul's part, but just tugged harder. "Come on!!" she called, and the resistance turned into him pulling her. Before they touched water, Paul scooped Cassandra up and ran as far into the ocean as he could.
Rolling out of his arms, Cassandra splashed in the water. With a giggle, she pulled herself up onto a rock. Paul stood before her, grinning like a fool. "I love you, Cassandra Harper," he whispered. Leaning closer, Cassandra kissed him. "I love you too, Paul Harper." Her forehead rested on Paul's, but suddenly he went limp. The ocean had been hit by lightning, and was now on fire. Cassandra screamed as Paul's body burned. "PAUL!" she screamed, tears running down her face. "PAUL, PAUL GET OUT!" She couldn't do anything, he was too far away from her. "Paaauuulllliiieee," she cried, watching his body burn before her.
The fire stopped, but he was gone. Dead. Burned. She jumped off the rock to search for him, but nothing. Out of nowhere, a mermaid grabbed Cassandra. "You filthy whore! You're not pure, you killed him! He had to marry a virgin, a good girl. He knew this, YOU'RE THE REASON HE'S DEAD!" Cass shook her head and backed away. "No... no, I--I didn't... no" Birds flew overhead and dropped rocks into the water. From pebbles to boulders, they smashed the water, the mermaid, and Cassandra. Her arms broke, her collarbone broke, her fingers broke...
Cassandra's eyes flew open. "Paul!" she whispered, and sat up. Adrenaline pumped through her system as Cass reached for her journal. She scribbled in it, but the pain was too much. Cassandra passed out, not to be awoken for a long while.
