Had Paul ever shown any interest in another girl, Cassandra would be furious. It might not hit her at first, but she would soon realize he wasn't constantly paying her attention or feeding her compliments. By the time that past, Cass would realize the attention and consistency he'd always focused on her would vanish. Cassandra thoroughly enjoyed Paul's company and praise, so this wouldn't be something that went over well with her. She was a horrible hypocrite, but it was the way the world worked. Cass wanted the best of everything, and in her perfect world she'd be able to have both Paul and Evan. Paul paying attention to another woman? That wasn't going to fly so well. It wasn't that Cassandra would cease all contact, but she would do anything in her power to break the couple up. In fact, she'd likely go as far as threatening the poor girl.
Cassandra sat beside Paul, and watched as he played with the dog. She decided she wanted a playful name, something everyone would enjoy saying. Of course, nothing came to mind, but it would eventually. The question about her father caught Cassandra off guard, and she was rather relived she hadn't been drinking anything. "Er, I don't really know. I believe he's some sort of businessman, though I've never inquire about his company. He partakes in some rather sneaky business deals, though. There's been more than a few times I've been forced into doing his bidding so he can sign a deal. Any more than that, I've no idea. My brother might know, but having a conversation far surpasses any contact I have with my father." Cassandra tried to keep the emotion from her voice, but it was no secret she felt resentful towards her father. So many of her classmates had normal families and loving fathers - Cassandra would give almost anything for that.
