Who: Gilderoy Lockhart, Lucy Ethelbert, and Amelia Bones When: Mid-morning December 14 Where: Ravenclaw Common Room What: Lucy lets off some steam. Rating: PG
Things were quiet when half of the house was off at the infirmary or some sort. As sordid as the whole affair really was, that part was kind of nice. For once there were no protests in development or angry yelling people or other sort of silly drama that people liked to pretend mattered. It didn't, not in the long run. School was but a training ground. It was what they would do outside of school that would matter.
But even that didn't matter, really. It was nice, because they had time off classes, and time off classes meant time to spend....not studying. After all, in a few days, Gilderoy Lockhart would be seriously not studying fulltime for two weeks. So it was good to be in shape.
Lockhart was lounged in one of the plusher chairs in the common room, under an open window, staring up at the white sky. He kicked his legs against a panel of the wall, noting it to be a little loose.
That might be something to fix, but at present, it was his point of pontification. How had it gotten loose? Likely being kicked by bored schoolboys like himself for centuries. If he weren't so absorbed in the idleness of the afternoon, he might have cared more. Instead, his foot swung, the board creaked, and the afternoon crept on.
