Joss:
Has been better. Also, has been worse. Trucking along in his Burmuda Triangle of home/university/work (which occasionally extends to Neil Waterhouse's house for dinner where Merry drags him over, and to the poetry bar where Carly works, so it's more like a star now). He's dropped down to only a few classes at uni, and is working at Tescoes with Helena (befriended after having a big panic attack when he got locked in a storage cupboard), and occasionally giving Zoe motorbike lessons. Actually seeing a counsellor and is on meds for both his mad sad brain and hypertension. He's tried to talk to various Llewellyn girls to try and make amends but no joy so far. April's pissed that he and Merry have been bad friends and Micah creeps him out. Tegan's out of hospital but doesn't really leave the house because ghosts will get her.

Merry:
Is working for her dad at university which gives her an excuse to hang around there till she can figure out what she wants to do with her life. She and Joss went on a road trip to the Strid and both had various different panics and complicated feelings. Her relationship with Ellie is very fragile because of how badly Merry behaved after Ellie broke up with Tarique (ie, stealing her phone, blocking his number, being controlling, breaching trust etc).

Josie:
Is secretly with Jinx but DON'T TELL DEL OR STEPHIE. She goes flying with Ko at night sometimes, but is a bit wary about it since pulling a man's body out of the Thames (or rather, pointing her cell phone torch at the surface of the water and making Ko do it because she didn't want to get wet.) She also was kidnapped briefly by the auctioneers from Miles's place on New Years, ended up in Surrey (ugh) and both killed AND drained people to escape. Had a little breakdown in her pyjamas. Is trying very hard not to turn into Marietta/Jillian/Svetlana or take any of her ever-growing pent-up demon-ness out on Jinx.

Ko:
Quietly planting seeds that will hopefully lead to lots of new recruits for the war. In his quest to track down the angel that dumped the man's body in the water (Imogene) he found Rachel and the vampire club (because Imogene was VISITING HARLEY WHAT IS WITH THAT?) killed a couple of vampires in front of Rachel, got a bit suspicious about her because she is weird and thinks she can't die.

Cai:
Cai and his family picked up Rachel after the vampire bar blood bath times. he's a bit concerned about that, but the biggest thing in his world at the moment is tracking down the identity of Mrs Carabaldi's chicken killer. Faye and Roe are different kinds of upset about it. Faye had gone vegetarian and Roe is acting like she might be part of some larger plot arc.

Rachel:
WELL.
Rachel has a few issues. She kind of has this belief that she makes things die. Like chickens that freak her out and vampires who try to kill her. Her dad also heavily implied that she was at fault for the car accident that killed her brothers and mother. But then she went to get her passport so she had the option to run away to Chile, and the passport people were like, uuh, technically your name wasn't changed using the proper channels, and it MIGHT be because you father is a bit thick and was also grieving, but it ALSO might be part of a larger story arc, WHO KNOWS, RIGHT?

Zoe:
Doesn't have a brain tumour yay! Although that does mean her visions are a bit weird, as in, not working. Ever since Christmas when she went away with Danny and Rach and Cai and she had a suround-sound panic vision (in which Zoe cried and freaked everyone else and then DIDN'T TELL LIZ till much later).

Stephie:
Stephie had been sleeping with Miles till New Years, when she yelled at him, yelled at Jinx, and then ended up driving to Cambridge so she could yell at Jude, after Yvonne sent Lucas to go and make sure Stephie was okay. They drove to Cambridge, Stephie threw up a lot and then instead of punching Jude in the face, they drove home and found Miles all stabbed and mostly dead, and Astrid and Josie gone. Stephie and Jinx made up, a bit, though they're still on shaky ground. Stephie spent a lot of time driving around the country searching for Astrid with various people, including Ko, who is trying to keep her on side because people at the hospital listen to her.

Miles:
During Astrid's disappearance, Miles made some poor choices. While he was recovering from being stabbed and almost bleeding out and almost having organ failure, Zoe tried to help by telling him that she was psychic. By telling, I mean ordering him to shut up and lie still so that she and Cai could try and read him to find out what had happened to Astrid. It didn't work and now Miles knows things Zoe wishes he didn't and Cai knows things about Astrid and Miles he wishes he didn't. Miles kept bringing things to Zoe as if she was a sniffer dog and being mean about her failure as a psychic. Eventually, once he was sure that Zoe was useless, he turned to Aleric instead, and when Aleric laughed him out of the shop, Illyana hooked him instead.

And now he owes her eight lives.

Also, once Astrid was home, Miles moved in across the back fence of Vic Lane PURELY to annoy Stephie.
