Looking to reimagine Cinderella with a more willful Cindy and a wicked stepfather! Seeking something long-term, world-rich, and words-heavy; something as dramatic (and melodramatic) as it is a comedy of errors; something bittersweet. I'd love to start from the time of their (potentially catastrophic) first meeting, to his marriage to her mother, to them working through the loss of her (or not) and beyond. Something complicated, where mutual hatred springs from the get-go and only seems to grow until they lose themselves in its dark wood and fail to realize how much they may actually care for each other (whoops!). I love the idea of Cindy being a bit of a terror and complicit in making their household a war zone.
