Or maybe not so heavy, depending on how we play it out. I'm on the look out for an action/drama ... ish kind of line. Not really sure how to categorize it properly. Mostly a spy/agent sort of thing with a few twists. Cut for lengthy description. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO FILL THE ROLE OF CHARACTER A.
Character A is an assassin/spy/agent/gunforhire (whatever you want to call it) that always gets the job done. And neatly too. They are the best at what they do, if you can manage to get them. They've been doing this for years and aren't slowing down. If anything, Character A is getting even better. Almost unstoppable/unbeatable. That sort of skill garners a lot of attention and he's soon leaving them all in the dust. While on the run, however, Character A meets Character B during a stop in a small the-middle-of-nowhere town. The hit it off. Really well. Character A decides to stay awhile.
Character A and B are about to celebrate their fifth year anniversary. Character B has been insisting on children but Character A (feeling restless and unsure) keeps putting it off. After a fight, the two take a few days to cool down. Character A decides to go back to one of his old spots, see an old buddy. He stays at his buddy's house for a few days, not knowing that his pal has actually turned sides and has sent his own people to kill Character B. Once Character A finds out, he kills his buddy and goes back home.
What Character A and his now deceased pal hadn't counted on was how dangerous a handful of country folks can be when they put their mind to it. The assassin that was sent after Character B made the mistake of attacking her in her home and any good country girl has a few guns on hand. Bang bang, assassin is dead. The body is handed over to the local authorities and that's when the real trouble starts because when Character A comes back, there's more of his past to follow.
Of course, a husband and wife are still stuck together, for better or for worse. Where one goes, the other will follow. I'd love to explore that. Mostly Character A trying to now cut ties with Character B, to keep them safe but Character B (though not excited about the whole my-husband-is-secretly-some-ninja-spy-agent) won't leave their side, insisting on staying with them and helping. Character A basically having to mentor/teach Character B on their previous but now current way of life. That's just the starters and I am totally open for more ideas to be thrown in!
Writer's notes: I pretty much based Character B off Rachel McAdams so I'd prefer to keep the face for her but I can change her up. As far as Character A goes, I'm not picky. I'd really like older. Perhaps someone from another country but not necessary. Mads Mikkelson, Cillian Murphy, Benedict Cumberpatch, Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Craig are some that come to mind but again, whoever you are comofortable with playing the character.
