Yuriko stared at Ciaran for a moment, taking in the saddle and halter in front of him, the scent of the cleaning items he’d used and then just nodded, approaching that little more once he’d taken the plate and crouching on the chair, literally perching. Her feet were where one was supposed to actually sit, her tail flicking idly and the sandwich plate she had was balanced on her knee, steadied and supported by her other hand.
“Thought you might be hungry,” she offered kind of lamely, long and thin fingers picking at one of the sandwiches on her plate, pulling bits of the bread off and rolling them into small bread-balls, dropping one into her mouth. She did have a terrible habit of playing with her food, no matter what form she was in. “And bringing you your own plate of food seemed better than sharing one.” Not that she minded sharing, but she did like her own food and she knew that Ciaran would probably be really hungry. Taking food from someone really hungry was never nice, and certainly not wise in a place such as this (especially when, once a month, her small and furry form probably looked really appetising to the werewolves).
She looked at the saddle again, remembering the way that it looked when it was on Ciaran’s other form. “Is it uncomfortable?” she asked, gesturing towards the saddle as she rolled up another pinched fingerful of bread and dropped it into her mouth. Her eyes were wide and curious, her tail still puffed up a little but twitching far less anxiously than it had been before. She’d spent time avoiding Ciaran since their first meeting, fleeting glimpse out of the corner of his eye as she assessed him, whether or not he would be safe. She’d decided that yes, maybe he would be safe, and that she had to actually start talking to people in order to make friends. “You know, wearing it and cleaning it and stuff?”
A brief pause and Yuriko realised that her question might have come across as rude, or at the very least none of her business.
"You don't have to tell me, I just- was curious?" She smiled shyly and picked at her food some more.
