She was retracing her steps from the past few days, trying to think of where she might have had the doll or where she might have taken it. Her treasures were carefully hidden in her trailer. Even protected with glamour so that they wouldn't even look like they were there to anyone who couldn't see through it. She'd only taken the doll out once since arriving. It had been with her on the midway and she'd thought it had been safe with her at her stand. Apparently not.
This was so terribly frustrating! Ellie sighed a little bit, still pouting. And then, entirely suddenly, there was someone sitting down across the table from her. Someone who didn't look overly familiar. But for him to not be freaking out over the fact that she had too-real wings that moved, he had to be part of the carnival. "Yeah, I'm Ellie." She looked up from the tabletop. "I'm sorry, I don't know you're name."
"And no, everything's not alright. But I feel like if I told you why, you'd laugh at me." Not everybody understood why she was so particular about her treasures. She couldn't help it! It was part of who and what she was.
