WHO: Ellie and Ted
WHAT: A certain fae is bummed about a certain missing object
WHERE: The midway
WHEN: While she's on a break
RATING: P for pouty
Ellie -- normally a picture perfect example of happiness and enthusiasm -- was not happy. Not by any means of the word. But you couldn't really blame her. Bluecaps were very, very particular about the shiny things that they found and chose to keep for themselves. They would stash them away, or decorate with them or find a way to wear them on their person all the time. As it was, Ellie was the type to stash her shinies and occasionally carry about her favorite ones. She was particular about her treasures...and she didn't take it well when one of her shinies went missing. The missing item was one of the larger ones she had. It was a doll. A porcelain doll at that. She'd had blonde ringlets and big blue eyes and a pretty little smile on her lips. But that wasn't even the best of it! Her dress, which was made of iridescent fabric in a mix of vibrant colors, had shining crystals sewn into it. Ellie had wanted the doll for herself the very first time that she'd seen it. It was one of her very favorite shinies! And yet, somehow it had gone missing. Hence the unhappiness.
Instead of a picture perfect example of happiness and enthusiasm, the fae was a picture perfect example of pouting as she left her stand for a break. The sad pout on her lips clashed with the happy pink of her costume and the vibrant colors of her facepaint. Her wings were still as she walked the midway, just like usual. But once she found an empty picnic table and settled herself down, her wings actually drooped. She wanted to know where her precious doll was. It wasn't just something that she'd lose! Never in a million years.
She rested her elbows on the table and used her close fists to prop up her chin. And, of course, that pout was still as prevalent as ever.
