Possible WfI/Texas Fred involvement in Strikeout 2.0?

A post on the Innocence Jihad community has indicated that in the case of the second round of strikeouts, we may be dealing with the same perpetrators as the last time around.

Specifically, the post is from a member of the community [info]pornish_pixies which has the ignominity of being among the first groups attacked in both rounds--the entire community struck out the first time, a large number of regulars struck out the second. (PP is a friends-locked adult HP fanfiction community.)

Note: the following links in LJ-cut 1 redirect to sites with known or suspected association with Warriors for Innocence and the Texas Fred complex. We recommend, based on past reports of malware infections possibly associated with WfI/Texas Fred site visits, that you do not visit unless you are using a text-based browser (like Lynx or Sam Spade for Windows (which includes a wget-like tool) or a known secure "traditional" web browser like Firefox with NoScript and AdBlock Plus extension or Opera. We especially recommend that you do not use Internet Explorer if you decide to investigate these sites yourself.

Of particular concern, at least two communities seem to exist for tracking specific "pornographic" sites on LJ, and both are related to the Texas Fred complex--PedoBLog Tracker and ACME Cleaning Services. (Particularly damningly, PedoTracker is known to be linked to WfI itself--it was used to record "pedophile blogs" in the original Strikeout.)

Based on my own research, PedoBlog Tracker seems to have been abandoned since June 2007 (when the news re WfI's involvement in the Strikeout broke); ACME Cleaning Services is the successor blog, and--surprise surprise--there are links to Absolute Zero United (which is known to be a WfI partner) and WfI itself.

Whilst Absolute Zero United has removed the direct linkage to Texas Fred and WfI, they still link to an awful lot of neoconfederate and dominionist sites, almost all of which contain links to the Texas Fred complex. These include: Hillbilly White Trash that is linked to the Texas Fred complex of sites, Tampa Pirate (also linked to the Texas Fred complex, as well as an explicitly dominionist site which may be tracking users; Tampa Pirate also is an unofficial coordination site for Absolute Zero United), a blog entitled But That's Just My Opinion (also part of the Texas Fred network of sites, and which also promotes neo-Confederate sites as well), a page run by The IgNoble Experiment (run by someone claiming to have been raised in Conservative Judaism who really wants to be among the Orthodox partnering with Christian Zionists), a site called American and Proud (with direct linkage to WfI, Texas Fred and neo-Confederate sites), 123beta (heavily linked with the Texas Fred complex, including promotional material for Texas Fred himself--including some very damning evidence to suggest that it is in fact Texas Fred himself who is ultimately behind all this), CrosSwords (another dominionist/"Joel's Army" blogger which *also* has connections to Texas Fred), and so on and so on and so on throughout practically the entire list (at least those sites that are not dead, anyways).

ACME Cleaning Service's main website, interestingly enough, was nuked for abuse by Freewebs; the site apparently did not last long enough to be caught by Internet archival services. A Yahoo mailinglist also coordinates efforts.

Interestingly enough, they also include a page called Corporate Sex Offenders--which is, again, linked to Absolute Zero United, a WfI partner group and part of the Texas Fred complex. (It is particularly revealing in that it discusses the previous targeting of Blogspot, and lists Wikipedia as an "accessory offender" as well as a podcast hoster, and has both LJ *and* Youtube firmly targeted.)

If anyone doubted WfI and PedoBlog Tracker links, one merely look at the profiles for the owners. Llort in particular is linked to both ACME Cleaning Services and PedoBlog Tracker; three other blogs (sdmzvv, lovev1, and silent-war2) seem to have been set up explicitly as backup hosting sites in the event that ACME Cleaning Services' main Blogspot site is taken down.

Now, where this comes into play--the Innocence Jihad post has indicated WfI--and the Texas Fred complex--may still be targeting specific Livejournal communities.

The post begins:

There are two things I'd like to bring up:

1) I felt that this deserved a warning, especially in regards to the Pornish Pixies debacle.

There are two Blogspot comms out there that I feel might have had a hand in these--Pedoblog Tracker and ACME. Among the "contributers" on each are our beloved WfI trolls and several people who made rude comments in a post I recently made in my journal regarding repressive therapy in pedophiles.

They have a list of blogs on that site that are listed as "Deleted," "Suspended," "Needs Suspension and Updates," and "Hacked." That last one REALLY got my alarm.

I have not taken a look at the blogs they list on PT--but I would not be surprised if many of those were fandom journals or RP journals, or just people who chose to put "pedo" in their blog name for whatever reason.

If any of you folks feel as though your journals are at risk, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS and F-LOCK ALL THINGS THAT MIGHT TURN THESE GROUPS' HEADS.

A later reply detailed:
Are the 'hacked' ones the 'Hijacked' ones listed. I'm a little confused as to how they would have done this.

I believe underneath the journals they're targeting they give instructions on how to hack into them. Or something of that order.

Surely blogspot would step in as LJ would if there was a hacking and here they are bragging about them.

Well, as a friend of mine pointed out they've hidden their "flag" button. And they were bragging about how Blogspot "belonged" to them.

And still later:
Well, as a friend of mine pointed out they've hidden their "flag" button. And they were bragging about how Blogspot "belonged" to them.

Actually, a few posts down on the "Pedo" blog Tracker, they give instructions on how to get around blogs that have the flag button hidden.

It's nice when morons dig their own grave. :)

I was able to confirm this; they do have specific instructions on how to flag Blogspot communites for reporting to abuse via Javascript in this post. After the blog is deleted by BlogSpot abuse, WfI members re-register the blog name (as they become open to use)--essentially operating in a nearly identical manner to domain name squatters (some of the blogs I had noted may be backups for ACME Cleaning Services may in fact have been hijacked in this manner).

This is something we will certainly need to watch--if in fact more evidence comes out that the Texas Fred complex is behind the second round of nuked accounts, this would explain a lot of the irregularities. (And FWIW, if someone more familiar with the specific accounts that have been nuked in Strikeout 2.0 have any good info and could check the ACME Cleaning Services list in particular, this may show where we may have evidence one way or the other. At any rate, it'd explain how friends only posts were causing accounts to be nuked.)
