"What a beautiful day it is for a quidditch match!" Regan announced over the stadium, which was packed to near overflowing with students, who had gathered for the match between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, the first one of the term. Of course, because Regan was the best commentator ever (in her opinion, anyway, and that was the one that mattered), she could be completely unbiased, even though her house and her best mate were in the match. The match was going well, neither house really having much of an advantage. The win would come down to the Seeker, of course. And through it all, Regan kept up a running commentary, combining the wit that got her into Ravenclaw with her fanatic knowledge of Quidditch to keep up an entertaining commentary. When one of the Gryffindor Beaters attempted to hit a bludger at the Ravenclaw Seeker, she cut in immediately with a re-cap: "And Gryffindor Beater Patrick Wood proves that old stereotype about Gryffindor's brawns over brains. All the force behind that last hit toward the Ravenclaw Seeker, but none of the aim." The look that she got from Professor McGonagall, who was overseeing the commentary of the match, was met with a sweet smile from the redhead, who continued with her commentary. After the match, Regan waited for best mate Annalise outside the Ravenclaw team's locker room. She was sure that they would be in there a while, celebrating their victory, but she was going to wait anyway. They always walked back to the castle togther after matches. Once the team headed out of the locker room, full of boisterous good spirits, Regan linked her arm with Lise's and they headed back up to the castle. "Don't look now, Regan, but you've got a stalker," Lise teased, glancing over her shoulder. Ignoring the 'don't look now' part, Regan turned and looked back. The Gryffindor team had come out of their locker room just behind the Ravenclaws, and the Beater, Patrick Wood, was watching her. Regan sent a saucy wink and smirk his way, before turning back to Lise. "You know, I've always wanted a stalker. It means I'm just so amazing and wonderful that he can't help but fall in love with me and worship the ground I walk on, right?" Oh, sure, he was cute. Really fit, actually. But Regan just wasn't interested in Quidditch players. But it could be fun to have a stalker, for a while. |
