Once Upon a Time, there was a magical kingdom by the name of Hogwarts. In this kingdom, there was a dashing Prince by the name of Demetrius Smith. Demetrius was smart, handsome, charming, and chivalrous, and all the fair maidens in the kingdom swooned over him. He often offered advice to the fair maidens about how to be more ladylike (not that they needed it, because they were all perfect ladies, smiling and giggling and wearing skirts and not cursing or waving their arms about madly or fighting or talking about their body parts in public), and they all loved him for it. The other men in the kingdom wished they could be as charming and handsome as Prince Demetrius. However, all was not perfect for Prince Demetrius. There was one maiden in the kingdom who was not a fair, perfectly ladylike maiden. In fact, this maiden was quite unladylike. Her name was Lady Margaret Kenmore, and she cursed, she hated wearing skirts, and she fought constantly. Prince Demetrius, ever the charmer, decided that it was in her best interests that she learn to be a proper lady. So he made a bet with his friend, Sir Joey Jenkins, that he could turn Lady Margaret into a proper fair maiden. At first, Lady Margaret fought his attempts to turn her into a proper fair maiden. She yelled at him and hit him and cursed at him. But Prince Demetrius persisted. Slowly, he broke down Lady Margaret’s defenses and got her to act as more of a lady. She started wearing skirts, she smiled and giggled like a proper lady should, and her words became soft and ladylike, she no longer cursed, nor did she fight. Prince Demetrius was very pleased with his work. Lady Margaret began to swoon over him, thanking him for teaching her to be a proper fair maiden. Prince Demetrius won his bet with Sir Joey, and he swept Lady Margaret off her feet, and they rode off together into the sunset … And then Demetrius Smith woke up. Rubbing his head, he sat up and looked around. He must have fallen asleep during Charms. A pillow sat on the floor beside his desk, and as he looked around the room, the smirk on Margaret Kenmore’s face told him that she’d banished the pillow at him. Damn, it was all a dream, Demetrius thought with a sigh. |
