immortalje posting in A Daily Icon Challenge
As the last two round showed so far, I'm a bit scatter minded about posting things on time. And reminders tend to fall especially flat.

So, I've decided to look for a co-mod who can help to keep things on track.

Aside from that:
I will post results for Round 1 tomorrow. Even though there was still a tie for one tie-breaker the last time I checked (and I'm not that confident that it's been broken by now courtesy of my lack of reminders).
I will also post the voting for Round 2 tomorrow and sign ups for Round 3.

However:
I will be gone from 10th to 14th August and new prompts should be posted on the 11th.
Which way would you prefer it: Posting it early on the 10th (due on the 30th instead of the 31st as last day of the month) or later with the time "extended" until early September?

(Now I'll just post my finished set - last minute as always... I'm not this late just as a mod)

Depending on what the comod duties entail, I'd be happy to help.

Posting reminders and such is something I could do since I'm online all the time anyways.

I'm all for the tenth... :-D

It would be the things I tend to flunk out on... and maybe discuss a couple of prompts and so on. I have no problem doing all the coding (as a matter of fact - the rules posts exists so I can copy and paste the notes and I have the voting posts saved in text files to make it easier... :D)

So most of it would be the reminders (and maybe keeping track on who still needs to submit it). I might be online a lot and I've finally set myself reminders in thunderbird, but even when I remember them I have a bad habit of thinking "in a couple of hours" which means I'll forget again until I turn my computer off and turns into "tomorrow" when everything starts all over again.

Potentially approving posts (anything entries being submitted before the voting posts) and maybe helping with the tagging... although I really need to clean them up first (to reduce the tags from the "old" icontest)

So... any help would be appreciated :D

Maybe since so far only you and I have signed up for mine... I'll delete the community and send you a text file full of all the prompt ideas I've had.

I have no problems with posting reminders and keeping track of who needs to submit icons, approving posts and tagging...

The coding on the other hand is beyond my skill sets.

I learned HTML when I was 15 but then the language had to go and change and now I have to relearn it. I just haven't gotten to it yet and this fall is going to be rededicated to German so that I'm ready to take part two in the Spring.

As I said, I have no problem doing the coding and I have most of it saved somehow (since I hate having to re-code things I've already done before ;) )

I once made a list of prompts... months ago even. I'm not sure if I ever typed them up. But throwing them all in one big pot might not be a bad idea so send them to me :D

I'll also give you posting access (and whatever you need for the tagging and approving :))

I tend to pick them at random and once I have 10 prompts they need to be alphabetised before I can post them :D

As for prompts... I've (tried to) split them in 3 groups according to where I can see them being used: Prompts, Category, Both

I better type mine up as well. It's better to combine them then :D
